About the Case

6-year-old girl came to the practice with her mother having as chief complaint the broken incisal edge on tooth 11. The clinical exam revealed an enamel fracture of the incisal margin and distal angle of right central incisor. It was decided to restore shape, contours and esthetics of the tooth using a direct composite restoration. Freehand direct anterior composite restoration was performed using the finger index technique. 3M™ Filtek™ Easy Match Universal Restorative was used to restore shape, contours and esthetics. The incisal edge was refined with fine burs. 3M™ Sof-Lex™ Contouring and Polishing Discs, pumice and polishing paste were used for polishing the surface.
