Learn from Dr. Riccardo Monterubbianesi:
This lecture will focus on the diagnostic pathways for assessing dental wear, integrating clinical evaluation with modern classification systems. Particular attention will be given to the selection of restorative materials—composites, ceramics, and hybrid solutions—highlighting their indications and long-term performance in managing moderate to severe tooth wear.
The rehabilitation of worn dentition represents a complex and demanding task for the dental practitioner and routinely involves porcelain onlays or full crowns.
But why should we choose the indirect techniques which involve preparation? Are we able to simplify our techniques? Can we proceed with non-prep restorative dentistry?
During the lecture and hands on the participants will follow modified index technique. Lecturer wil explain how to prepare index, how to place it in perfect position and how avoid polymerized resin excess, which is a common problem of VDO augmentation with direct composite resin.
Is it possible to restore esthetics with direct composite? How can we diagnose the possibility to restore length and incisal edges?
This technique will show how to transfer wax up information with single shade when lengthening is necessary and direct technique to solve labial defects.
