Learn more from Dr. Filippo Cipriani Noce:

Vertical dimension: Orthodontic point of view

The vertical dimension is one of the keys to both the aesthetics of the smile and the functionality of the mouth. Each of us is characterized by a verticality that developed during our growth due to genetic and muscular factors. During our life bruxism can significantly modify this dimension, due to abrasion of posterior teeth. This change can sometimes lead to joint problems that are difficult to manage.

The purpose of this lecture is to identify the factors that allow us to discern between a situation of loss of vertical dimension in the context of joint physiology or joint dysfunction.

It is essential that the restorer identifies and intercepts these problems in order to restore the correct mandibular-cranial relationship of his patients. This is essential to bring the patient back to a state of joint physiology and, even more so, to prevent the patient from causing TMD themselves.

Cusp to Crown: Direct and indirect solutions for worn dentition – by Dr. Valentin Vervack

In this lecture the different stages of wear patients will be depicted and how to differentiate the corresponding diagnosis. The right diagnosis fits the correct treatment, and this can be an array of the posterior restorative spectrum, going from smaller cusp buildups to full coverage overlays-veneer lays or even crowns.

Learn the rules to simple natural regeneration of worn cusps using a direct technique and non-retentive overlay cementation in the hands-on session.
