Smart workflows for anterior and posterior composite restorations

Recent generations of flowable composite materials have fundamentally changed the way direct restorations can be executed. Where flowables were traditionally limited to liners or small defects, new high-performance formulations now allow complete anterior and posterior restorations to be finished using flowable composites alone or in combination with conventional composites. Their improved mechanical properties, handling characteristics, and optical behaviour enable simplified, more predictable workflows while maintaining clinical longevity. This webinar features the new Solventum™ Filtek™ Easy Match Flowable Restorative.

Aims & Objectives

To enable participants, by the end of the course, to safely and predictably apply modern flowable composite materials in anterior and posterior direct restorations using simplified, indication-based workflows.

Learning Outcomes

By the end of the course, participants will be able to:

  • Identify appropriate clinical indications and limitations for flowable composite restorations in anterior and posterior regions.
  • Select suitable flowable composite materials based on cavity design, functional load, and esthetic requirements.
  • Apply simplified restorative workflows using flowable composites to achieve proper adaptation, marginal integrity, and occlusal anatomy.
  • Manage polymerization shrinkage and stress using flowable-based strategies in routine clinical cases.
  • Evaluate when flowable composites can be used alone and when combination with conventional composites is indicated.

This CPD course meets the criteria for the GDC’s development outcomes C.
